The houses are in the foothills of the scenic Alpujarra mountains on the south side of Sierra Nevada. Situated in a family run organic blackberry farm it is located 500 mts. from Órgiva , managed by Anna and Cecilio, an anglo – spanish family.

CHARACTERISTICS

These two recently converted self contained houses have been built and decorated with the traditional architecture of the Alpujarra. Each house sleeps four people comfortably they countain kitchen – living room compleaty equiped with an open fire place, two bedrooms and bathroom. One is suitable for wheelchairs.

The farm has two hectare´s, mainly of blackberries, but also has fruit and olive trees, we also offer an organic patch with vegetables all year round. A garden with swimming – pool and baby pool, with the fantastic climate it is possible to use from May to October. A holiday to relax and be in contact with nature and the stunning beauty of the Alpujarra.

THE AREA

The Alpujarra is extraordinary, surounded by mountains and clear sky´s most the year. Captivating you with its beautiful contrast of light and warm weather. The area is rich in vegetacion, with vallies and groves of olive, armond and chestnuts, not forgetting the lemon and orange trees.

Towards the north of the Alpujarra, you can visit the small white villages tipical of the south of the Spain. Where you can walk these lovely streets, taste the rich water from the mountains and taste the special mediterranean diet. With the flower and vegitacion combined, these characteristics of the mediterranean of open space and wildness is typical of north Africa.

SITUATION

Órgiva is the capital of the Alpujarra which offers all services and activities you can chose from paragliding, hillwalking, climbing, etc. Órgiva is 8 Km. from Lanjaron which is famous for its spa´s .

The farm is excently placed for opcional things to do we are forty minutes from the beatiful city of Granada featuring the Alhambra palaces, and the ski slopes of Sierra Nevada, they offers winters sports well into spring or for a complete contrast you can be in the tropical mediterranean coast in thirty minutes. The nearest airport is Malaga at 180 Km. and Madrid at 450 Km.
